Arizona's coalition for thoughtful AI in K-12 education
We help schools navigate AI thoughtfully — neither rushing to adopt everything nor pretending it isn't happening.
Fourteen organizations, one statewide effort
Between them, our members touch nearly every school in Arizona. They do not all approach education the same way — some serve districts, some serve charters, some serve rural communities, some work statewide. That range is what lets the Alliance hold varied perspectives and stay responsive to local context.
Arizona Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (AZALAS)
Arizona Association of School Business Officials (AASBO)
Arizona Charter Schools Association (ACSA)
Arizona Department of Education (ADE)
Arizona Educational Foundation (AEF)

Vision and mission
Vision
An Arizona education system where every student and educator uses AI ethically, effectively, and creatively to enhance learning and prepare students for a successful future in a changing world.
Mission
Navigate the AI revolution in K-12 by creating a community of districts and partners — connecting those who create practical frameworks, policies, and learning networks with those who can use and inform them.
What the Alliance actually does
Strategic Guidance — the what
Supporting a regular cadence of review and updates to Arizona's guidance, highlighting the changes that matter, and building the resources that make it operable: the 3ssential, the Privacy Checklist, the glossary, and what comes after the first three actions.
The operationalization hubKnowledge Exchange — the community and the loops
Exchanging knowledge among Alliance members and constituents, and beyond them: the monthly Learning Network for practitioners, the Knowledge Exchange Network for member organizations, the newsletter, and recognition for professional learning that aligns with the guidance.
The Learning NetworkWhat membership means
The Alliance exists to make member organizations' work easier, not to duplicate it. We amplify your expertise, co-produce resources you can put your name on, and connect your members to the broader Arizona AI conversation. You keep your voice, your brand, and your relationships. We handle the coordination.
- Participate in the Knowledge Exchange Network, where members keep each other current on AI in education and share what is working in Arizona.
- Help shape statewide guidance by carrying what your members are experiencing into the revision cycle.
- Propose and lead working groups on the problems your members are actually facing.
- Brand your professional learning as aligned with Arizona's guidance.
Two ways in
For educators and school leaders
Join the Learning Network — a monthly virtual gathering for K-12 and higher education practitioners leading AI work. No Alliance membership required, and open to practitioners only.
And if your school or district has written guidance, built training, or worked out a system for student use, we will feature it here: that work sits in the resource library alongside ours, clearly credited to you.
Join the Learning NetworkFor organizations
Alliance membership means joining a statewide network coordinating on AI in education. Members participate in the Knowledge Exchange Network, help shape statewide guidance, and can propose and lead working groups.
What membership meansPress and media
The Alliance is not a vendor and not an advocacy group, and we are happy to talk about what Arizona schools are actually experiencing.
